There are many ways of being bullied: 
  • Cyber Bullying receiving ongoing abuse text's and anonymous phones calls OR abuse messages sent via email, facebook accounts and msn.
  • Physical Bullying getting physically abused or touched by someone
  • Verbal Bullying whens someone calls you names and makes you feel isolated
These are the main form's of bullying, but there's still many more. If you feel you encounter any of the above or something similar please contact us. Just remember there are many children out there who suffer with bullying:
  • As many as 70% of all young people have experienced some form of bullying.
  • 1 million kids are bullied every week, inside and outside of school.
  • Bullying is one of the biggest concerns for children (and parents!) as they grow up. 
  • At least 20 children every year commit suicide because they are being bullied.

Cyber Bullying 

Beatbullying asked almost 2,500 young peopleabout cyberbullying to find out what's going on.

-    50% said they'd been cyberbullied

-    29% told no-one about being cyberbullied

-    73% said they knew who was sending them bullying messages

-    11% admitted to being a cyberbully

If you seek advice and support, there are lots of websites that offer information and advice to young people who are being bullied. 

The site which young people told us they liked most was Childline.  You can also call Childline free on 0800 1111 (calls are free and confidential).
